What we do

At AAB Built we have experience in all aspects of building including new homes, renovations, alterations and extensions. Our flexible approach enables us to manage the entire project from start to finish and work closely with our clients throughout the project. We have a dedicated and skilled team of local trades people who work together to achieve the desired result.

We also undertake excavation with our own 3.5 tonne excavator for slabs, driveways, drainage and post or peir holes.


How we do it

COST PLUS

A cost plus contract simply means the price of the job is based on labour and materials plus a builder’s margin of on all supplied materials. An estimate of the total cost of the project is supplied before starting the job and is used as a budget throughout the project. The client is invoiced fortnightly for labour and materials supplied. All hours are documented and the client will receive a copy of these and all invoices and budget report to track progress of the job. The benefit of using this type of contract is that if the spending on the project comes in under the estimate the client saves money.

 

FIXED PRICE

With a fixed price option, a quoted price for the job is supplied including labour and materials. The client will receive invoices throughout the job at nominated milestones. Any changes made throughout the project not included in the original scope of work are tracked and invoiced as completed. All hours are documented for extra work carried out and copies of all invoices for extra materials supplied can be included with each individual invoice. Depending on the scope of work to be carried out, a variation or new contract for the extras may be needed. The benefit of this option is that clients know the exact cost of the quoted job.
